ApplyStack Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 June 2026. Applies to the ApplyStack Chrome extension, version 1.x.

Summary in plain English

ApplyStack stores everything you save on your own device, inside your browser's local extension storage. There are no servers, no accounts, and no tracking. We never see, collect, transmit, or sell your data. If you uninstall the extension, your data goes with it.

What data the extension handles

Only the job information you choose to save: company, role title, job URL, deadline, salary, location, application status, your notes, your "next action" text, and timestamps.

Where your data is stored

All saved data lives in chrome.storage.local on your computer. It is never sent over the network. ApplyStack makes zero network requests. There is no database and no cloud storage.

What we collect about you

Nothing. No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, no third-party SDKs.

Permissions and why

storage saves your job list locally. activeTab reads the current tab's URL and title only when you open the popup, so the save form can pre-fill them; this access is temporary and limited to that tab. No broad host permissions, no browsing history, no background page reading.

Sharing and selling

We do not share or sell your data because we never receive it. There are no third parties.

Your control

One-click CSV export of everything. Edit or delete any entry from the dashboard. Removing the extension, or clearing its data in Chrome's settings, permanently deletes all ApplyStack data.

Children

ApplyStack is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If a future version adds optional features that change data handling, this policy will be updated and the change explained before the feature is enabled. Privacy-reducing features will always be opt-in.
